Caledonia Area, Hopkins student school board members earn 2017 MSBA Scholarship!

Nathan Hagerott (Caledonia High School) and London Lowmanstone (Hopkins High School) were named the recipients of MSBA's 2017 Student School Board Member Scholarship! 

Nathan and London will each receive $3,000 to use toward postsecondary education.

Last year's winners were Taylor Nelson (Woodbury High School) and McKinley Lain (Sauk Rapids-Rice High School).

Nearly 100 of Minnesota's public school districts have some form of student school board member representation.

MSBA Scholarship Application

Applications for the next MSBA Scholarship will be available to members at the Leadership Conference in January 2018.

2018 MSBA Student School Board Member Scholarship

Do you have a senior high school student serving on your school board as a student representative? If so, please encourage them to apply for the next MSBA Student School Board Member Scholarship in January 2018. Each spring, MSBA will award $3,000 scholarships to two Minnesota students. 

To qualify for the 2018 scholarship: 

1. The student’s school board must be a member of MSBA.

 2. The student must be a high school senior graduating after the spring 2018 semester.

 3. The student’s service as a school board member must be during his/her senior year.

 4. The student will be a full-time postsecondary student in fall 2018.
